Shocking CCTV footage has captured the moment a mass brawl broke out between more than 100 clubbers - who used barriers, metal poles and even a chair as weapons.
A man charged with being involved in the violence outside the nightclub told a jury he simply tried to make people disperse.
Hans Sojhe said he attended the a grime music night at Analog nightclub in March. He admitted that in a melee that ensued outside he was hit with a metal barrier and pole - and that he threw the pole afterwards, reports the Bristol Post.
But he told Bristol Crown Court: “The barrier and pole hit me on the head.
“I wanted them to stop throwing things at me. There was bottles and everything flying across.
During the hearing on Wednesday, November 1, the jury was shown graphic CCTV video footage of assaults taking place after the grime event at the club on Queens Road, featuring DJs Yxng Bane and Tion Wayne.
The violence involved more than 100 people in two groups and was described by witnesses as like something out of a Western movie.
