Supporters of Italy's Forza Nuova party gathered in Rome to march against immigration yesterday. They protested against a proposed law to grant citizenship to the children of immigrants. Under the bill called "Ius soli", children born in Italy to non-Italians, or children who arrived before their 12th birthdays and have spent at least five years in formal education in Italy, could be declared citizens. The slogan for the demonstration was "Everything for the fatherland".
