The shocking moment an OAP is thrown to the ground in middle of the the street by a robber who stole her handbag has been released by police.
Officers investigating the incident on Sunday at 7.35pm have issued CCTV footage of the moment the woman, aged 79, was set upon.
The victim had parked her car at the end of Victoria Street in Ipswich in a cobbled area near Westgate Ward Social Club.
She can be seen placing her handbag over her shoulder when she is approached by a man who grabs hold of it.
The suspect continues to pull at the bag causing the victim to fall to the floor, he then forced the bag off from her grasp and runs off towards London Road.
