A father-of-four knocked a man unconscious with a single punch then left him lying in the road in a shocking incident caught on CCTV.
In dramatic footage, Jamie Boughton is seen simply walking away from the attack which came about over an accusation the victim stole his work boots, a court heard.
The man was left motionless in the street after being hit on the side of his head in Swadlincote, the Burton Mail reports.
Amazingly, the victim did not wish to press charges against the 34-year-old carpenter as he "does not want to be seen as a snitch or a grass".
Derby Crown Court was told that the blow left the man needing 12 stitches to his head.
