A teacher who slapped a schoolboy who she believed had 'stolen an orange' has been sacked after his mum watched CCTV of the incident.
The unnamed mother had demanded an apology for her boy from the teacher involved - but when she was ignored reported the matter to the police.
CCTV footage from the school canteen shows a group of boys with one of them holding what looks like an orange.
He can be seen trying to ditch the fruit in the back of another pupil's backpack and walking away.
But he was spotted by the teacher, who stormed across the room towards him and whacked him across the back of the head.
