Police in London are responding to reports of shots fired at the Oxford Circus underground station.
British Transport Police said on Twitter that officers are on the scene, and that there were reports of at least one woman sustaining minor injuries while leaving the Oxford Circus station.
First responders have headed for the area. Officials are advising the public to avoid the area and those on Oxford street to go into a building and stay inside until directed otherwise.
Officials say they've been unable to locate any suspects, or evidence of shots fired, but officers on scene are still investigating and searching the area.
The reports of shots fired come as hundreds of shoppers were in the area for Black Friday sales. Eyewitnesses reported scenes of panic as dozens of people ran to escape Oxford Circus. The subway station doubles as a retail area where about 98 million passengers pass through, making it the busiest in London.
So far, there have been no other reported casualties.
