Get ready for the porn industry to pop up in New York.
Some of its biggest stars will press the flesh in SoHo — where a new store is opening Friday to promote the popular adult website, Pornhub.
Sales clerks were putting the finishing touches on the temporary brick-and-mortar retail store at 70 Wooster St. late Thursday — where sex toys, handcuffs, books and fancy clothes were already visible behind a furry black archway at the entrance. Shoppers must be 18 or older to walk through it.
The popup shop, which will stay open until Dec. 20, shares the block with fancy fashion retailers Moschino and Céline. It’s designed to resemble the website visited by around 64 million people daily, Pornhub Vice President Corey Price told the Daily News.
“We’ve been doing a lot more in terms of apparel ... and we thought that fashion would be cool to do in an actual retail popup shop location,” Price said. “People can physically interact with the brand of our products. . . . Normally, it’s a virtual experience.”
The raunchy space includes a bed “where people are invited to sit and interact with the camera on a live-feed streaming onto Pornhub.com directly,” according to a post announcing the new store.
