Hundreds of shoppers fled in fear as armed police swarmed Oxford Street in central London this evening.
Footage shows terrified people fleeing outside the famous Selfridges department store after unconfirmed reports of gunshots in the popular shopping area.
Armed police were called at around 4.30pm on Black Friday, one of the busiest shopping days of the year.
Popstar Olly Murs said he was in Selfridges at the time and posted a tweet warning other people that something was going on.
