Michael Flynn, President Trump's former national security adviser, has been charged by Special Counsel Robert Mueller with one count of making false statements to the FBI.
According to court documents, Flynn is being charged with one count of "willfully and knowingly" making false statements to the FBI. He pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his talks with a Russian ambassador.
Flynn’s lawyers recently said they will no longer communicate with the White House legal team – a move that could signal his cooperation with the special counsel’s investigation or negotiate a deal for himself.
Speaking to reporters on Dec. 2, President Trump once again dismissed allegations of collusion with Russia.
