Shocking footage has emerged of a woman brutally bashing an elderly pensioner in the middle of a Melbourne road.
Annette Lang, 66, was walking home from the shops last week when she was set upon and beaten by the woman and left unconscious in the middle of the street.
Ms Lang had walked to her local Mornington supermarket to buy food when she realised her pension fund hadn't gone into her account yet. She stalled in the store for half an hour before leaving after it still hadn't come through.
It was then the woman attacked her, throwing her to the ground before repeatedly hitting Ms Lang.
She now has several cuts and bruises across her face, arms and body.
Police arrested the alleged attacker and charger her a short time later, but she has since been released on bail.
Locals spotted the woman in question back at the same set of shops the next day.
'I think it's disgusting. I just don't know what she'll do next,' a local store owner said.
Ms Lang said she is so angry with the woman she may confront her if she sees her again, saying of the assaulter there's 'no place you can hide.'
