A devoted dog owner has been filmed risking her life as she rushed into freezing waters to save her dog .
The woman disappeared under the water for several seconds while she struggled to rescue her pet, which had been dragged out to sea on Sunday.
Rescue organisations have said she was lucky not to have been killed.
