Thug throws woman to the ground and almost runs her over in horrific road rage attack

An angry thug battered a defenceless woman in a car park in a terrifying road rage attack.



Police are now looking for the man who carried out the assault in Missouri which saw him hurl the woman to the ground after kicking her car.



The dramatic footage captured by CCTV has been released by the Arnold Police Department in the hope that officers can find the man.



Although it is unclear what triggered the attack, in the video the pair can be seen shouting and arguing before the man starts kicking the back passenger side of the car.



As he walks back to his vehicle the woman gets out and tries taking a photo of his number plate on her mobile.



As soon as he realises, he charges at the woman and launches into the vicious attack, pushing her to the ground he wrestles for her phone.



And as soon as he pries it free from her grip, he can be seen chucking it across the car park.



Stunned passersby get out of their cars to help the woman who limps in pain towards her mobile device.



The man then gets back into his truck - a blue GMC Sierra - and tries to drive off - almost running the woman over in the process.



Arnold Police Department, which released the footage, is now asking for help in identifying the man.



In a post shared on Facebook the video has been viewed over 70,000 times and had more than 1,300 shares.



While many condemn the man, others are praising the people that tried to help out.



One comment said: "This is a bad scenario for sure proud to see that there are several good people coming to her aid."



And another said: "Glad the stand-byers helped out!"
