A 41-year-old woman died after a car crashed through the window of the restaurant where she was sat eating a meal.
Zamara Gonzales was sitting at the booth by the window of the Pollo Tropical restaurant in Davie, Florida, when the red Toyota Matrix ploughed through the building.
She was trapped under the vehicle for 15 minutes while emergency services desperately tried to save her, but tragically died at the scene.
Shocking footage released by Davie Police Department shows the moment the driver lost control.
After colliding with another vehicle outside the restaurant, the car swerves over a central reservation and careers into the restaurant's window.
CCTV footage from inside shows the window shattering on impact and the car ploughing straight through the side of the building.
Shocked customers try as best they can to jump out the way, as the car narrowly misses a young child in a pushchair.
But sadly Gonzales did not have time to move.
As soon as the car comes to a stop, other diners can be seen trying to help the woman trapped underneath the car.
One of the waitresses can even be seen jumping across the serving desk.
In local news reports a witness said: "I mean, everyone was just trying to get a grip on it (the car) and lift it.
"The floor was pretty wet, so no one could really move without slipping."
The emergency services were called to the incident and after firefighters managed to free Gonzalez she was given chest compressions.
She was then taken to hospital but it was there where doctors pronounced her dead.
Two others were injured in the smash when flying debris hit a man, called Steve Pierre, and a seven-year-old boy.
They were both taken to hospital too.
While the man is expected to make a full recovery, the young boy suffered a lacerated liver, broken rib and a pulmonary hematoma.
Although his injuries are severe, doctors are expecting him to survive.
The Davie Police Department said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
