A Palestinian with a fake suicide belt stabbed an Israeli officer in the upper torso. The Palestinian attacker, Mohammed Aqal, was shot and later died. The officer was in moderate condition. The stabber managed to get to the troops from behind after he pretended to be part of a press team nearby. The soldiers shot him in the legs, but when they noticed the suicide belt, they kept shooting him while he was on the ground. He was taken to Palestinian hospital where he passed away. This was part of another Palestinian (Fri)day of Rage, in reaction to Trump recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel last week.
