Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) said she would remain friends with accused serial sexual assaulter Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) “forever” during a Friday floor speech praising Franken’s work in the U.S. Senate.
Franken was forced to resign from the Senate after multiple women came forward and accused the former comedian of groping or trying to kiss them.
One of Franken’s farewell addresses took place on Thursday, and was panned for its length by some reporters on Twitter:
