A driving instructor claims to have found a bright green caterpillar crawling inside a sandwich she bought from Marks and Spencer.
Natalie Oliver picked up the roast chicken and avocado-filled sandwich from an M&S food branch and had already eaten half of it when she said she discovered the insect inside.
The retail giant has promised to investigate 25-year-old Natalie’s claim after being made aware of the incident by the Liverpool Echo .
Natalie, from Spital said: “I was walking around the house eating it. When I looked down I caught a glimpse of something green crawling - I thought it was a piece of avocado until it dropped to the floor.
“People keep telling me at least I know it was fresh for a caterpillar to have survived inside it.
