A former executive of a medical device company says a video of him bullying a Chick-fil-A employee has destroyed his career.
Adam Smith once earned more than $200,000 a year as the chief financial officer of Tuscon-based Vante. The married father of four is now unemployed and living on food stamps three years after his videotaped rant went viral online.
In the video, Smith berates a Chick-fil-A employee for working at a company that supports anti-gay organizations.
"Chick-Fil-A is a hateful corporation," Smith said. "I don't know how you live with yourself and work here. I don't understand it. This is a horrible corporation with horrible values. You deserve better."
