After a rare snowstorm blanketed parts of South Carolina, U.S. Sen. Tim Scott joked Wednesday about riding a boogie board back to Washington.
With his flight from Charleston to D.C. canceled, he certainly wouldn't be flying.
With ice on the roads, he couldn't drive.
But the South Carolina Republican quickly learned that his "alternative transportation" idea of travel via boogie board was not his best bet.
In a video posted to his Twitter account, Scott can be seen kneeling on a boogie board, attempting to glide through the snow by hitching a ride on the back of an unknown vehicle.
About five seconds later, South Carolina's junior senator loses his grip. "Oh no!" he shouts, as he tumbles off the board and into the snow.
"Senator, please don’t hurt yourself," a man can be heard shortly after Scott wiped out.
