A husband and wife say they are lucky to be alive after their £40,000 luxury car was set alight yards from their front door.
Karen and Joe Glavey were woken by their dog Chico as their blue C class Mercedes, bought new just seven months ago, was on fire on their driveway in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire.
Their CCTV shows an arsonist pouring a flammable liquid on the bonnet and setting it ablaze at around 12.40am on Friday, December 8.
The man wearing a baseball cap is nearly caught in the fireball as he lights the liquid and it immediately bursts into flames.
He then runs away from the scene, leaving the front of the car engulfed in tall flames.
