A burly robber used a cache of homemade weapons to launch a ferocious attack on prison guards in 'protest' about conditions in jail.

The 25-year-old savagely attacked one man with a table leg and squirted water mixed with chilli powder into the eyes of his two colleagues as they tried to subdue him.
The assault was so violent one prison guard was unable to work for a month.
To others had "stinging sensations" in their eyes after being sprayed with the homemade weapon, which was stored on shower gel bottles, the Hull Daily Mail reports .
