Shocked police in the US have released video of a girl gangster confessing to the brutal murder of a 15-year-old.
Sat nonchalantly in a chair with her hands in her pocket, 18-year-old Venus Romero Iraheta looks thoroughly unconcerned as she coldly describes the killing.
She believed teenager Damaris Reyes Rivas was somehow responsible for the killing of her boyfriend Christian Sosa Rivas, who was a member of the notorious MS-13 gang.
MS-13 was formed in the 1980s in Los Angeles by street criminals who fled the civil war in El Salvador, but has now morphed into one of the most brutal and powerful cartels in the world.
Iraheta had victim Damaris abducted and brought to the woods in Lake Accotink Park in Fairfax County, Viriginia.
She was then tortured before being stabbed to death.
