Actor Sam Rockwell Just Dropped the F Bomb on SNL While Trying to Bash Pres. Trump

Sam Rockwell is having quite a year.



After collecting his first Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, the actor made his Saturday Night Live debut and managed to earn a spot in a notorious club of those SNL guests who've accidentally dropped the "F-bomb" on live television.



During a PBS-style sketch called "Science Show," Rockwell played a teacher who gets flustered with his dim-witted students (played by Cecily Strong and Mikey Day) during a simple oil-and-water-density experiment and blurts out, "You can't be this f---ing stupid!" He quickly recovered and said, "I'm sorry, kids aren't stupid, just say what you see, OK?" before moving on with the skit, but the uncensored damage was done.



Fortunately for Rockwell, he wasn't the only one to curse during the episode.



"Weekend Update" co-host Colin Jost used the phrase "sh--hole" during his segment to quote President Trump's alleged phrasing when discussing American immigrants from Africa and Haiti.



Jost explained, "The book Fire and Fury, a salacious expose of the Trump White House, was released last week, and then this week the sequel wrote itself. During an Oval Office meeting, Trump attacked protections for immigrants from African countries, which he called 'S-holes.' That's what NBC asked us to say, by the way, 'S-hole,' even though the president can say 'sh--hole.' Oops."



He then continued, "I feel bad for parents with young children. Every word you tell your kid not to say, they can be like, 'But the president gets to say it!' The most insane thing is that Trump said all of these racist things right before Martin Luther King Day, which is like pounding a case of beer on your way to rehab. Now I'm just worried about what he's going to say before Passover."



Although "F-bombs" are pretty rare on SNL, Rockwell is certainly not alone in the "honor." Last year, Kristen Stewart let the four-letter phrase slip in her opening monologue, and prior offenders include cast member Jenny Slate, Paul Schaffer, Prince and Samuel L. Jackson.
