The dramatic rescue of a stricken dog from a burning apartment building has been shared by his police officer rescuers - who have now put him up for adoption.
Body camera footage from Officer Robert Winkler of the Atlanta Police Department shows how quickly he pulled the dog to safety on the night of January 7.
In the video, firefighters tackle the terrifyingly large flames engulfing the building.
When police enter, the dog is seen lying on the ground, barely moving.
Officer Austin Denninger carried the dog away from the fire, the police department's Facebook page says.
