Parisians are bracing themselves for severe flooding as swollen rivers threaten to leave parts of the city underwater.
Drone footage shows the extent of the flood waters on the River Seine, and levels are expected to surge over the weekend.
River cruises have been cancelled and tourist sites like the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral have closed as part of a shutdown.
Waters in the river rose to 5.61 metres on Friday, and French agency Vigicrues says it could swell to six metres as more rain is forecast.
