A 72-year-old woman armed with a BB gun was shot dead in front of her son by cops during a raid.
Dramatic body cam footage released yesterday shows an officer from Bartlesville in Oklahoma, US, shouting at the woman to "put the gun down" after they entered her home and she reportedly confronted them with the weapon.
She fired a shot at one officer's leg and another at his colleague's face, police said, before the latter shot her dead on January 17.
The woman has been identified as Geraldine Townsend while the police officers involved have not been named.
Authorities had carried out the raid on the home following allegations that Townsend's son, Michael Anthony Livingston, was dealing cannabis from the property, Tulsa World reports.
At the end of the video, Livingston can be heard shouting in distress: "F*** you, you killed my mother, why did you do that dude, why did you do that."
The woman was declared dead in hospital. Her family have paid tribute to the pensioner, saying she was a "happy person who loved her family and going to church".
She leaves behind three sons, a daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, News On 6 reports.
