George Warner's mum Nicola told how the 14-year-old was left shaken following the theft which was captured on camera by a friend.
The schoolboy's blue VooDoo Hoodoo mountain bike was a Christmas present from his grandfather.
Nicola told the Leicester Mercury that George was left "very upset" after the men took his bike and threatened him and his friends after school on Tuesday.
