A volcano has blasted a huge ash cloud and lava almost 6,500 feet into the air as experts warn there could be bigger eruptions to come.
Activity at the site gets is intensifying and the local area has been put on a level two alert.
Chilling footage of the blast was released by the Mexican authorities of the Popocatepetl volcano.
The alert level means similar activity is expected in the coming days and a 12-kilometre (7.5-mile) safety radius has been introduced.
Popocatepetl is a popular landmark and an active stratovolcano, built up of alternate layers of lava and ash.
