Dozens of civilians have been hit by a chlorine gas attack in war-torn Syria, according to reports.
Horrendous images and video have surfaced online of victims after multiple airstrikes in the city of Idlib late on Sunday night.
On clip shows a man being sprayed with water by medics in a desperate bid to relieve his pain as his clothes are cut off.
Warplanes are said to have dropped dozens of bombs leaving civilians injured.
And helicopters allegedly sent by the Russian-backed Assad regime also dropped chlorine 'barrel bombs' , it has been claimed.
The Syrian American Medical Society says its hospitals in the area treated 11 patients for chlorine gas poisoning.
President Assad, backed by his ally Russia, has repeatedly denied using chemical weapons during the civil war in Syria.
