At least six people have been killed after a devastating earthquake hit Taiwan, reportedly trapping people in a giant hotel skyscraper now hanging at a precarious 45 degree angle.
The 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck the popular tourist city of Hualien on Taiwan's east coast late on Tuesday night.
At least 243 people have been injured and about 60 are still missing, many of whom are believed to be trapped inside buildings.
And the carnage may not be over yet, as aftershocks with a magnitude of at least 5.0 could rock the island in the next two weeks, the government said.
