An ice hockey player who smashed a fan in the head with his stick could get away with the act unless the victim comes forward.
Police have said unless the victim cooperates the player will not face criminal charges after the attack in Guildford last month, Get Surrey reports.
The outburst came from former Milton Keynes Lightning defenseman, Matt Nickerson, towards a Guildford Flames fan.
And the shocking scene was captured on camera and reported to police.
The incident happened as Nickerson left the ice just as the game was coming to an end on January 28.
