A 22-year-old man has been arrested after police released CCTV of a 12-year-old girl being wrestled to the ground for her mobile phone.
A man seen in the video wearing a purple-coloured tracksuit walking down the street before turning back to attack the girl.
Hurling the girl to the ground, police say he then snatched her rose gold iPhone 6s.
In the footage the brave girl, wearing a duffle coat with the hood up, can be seen trying to fight back, but the man overpowers her before calmly walking away.
The girl had been running an errand for her mum and was on her way back from the shops when she was attacked on Sunday at 4.40pm in Derby.
