Democrats are on a partisan vendetta against President Trump, and Devin Nunes is calling them out for it.
The Republican chairman of the House Intelligence Committee appeared on Fox News’ “Ingraham Angle” Tuesday and discussed the Democrats’ response to last week’s memo describing FISA abuse by the FBI, telling host Laura Ingraham that Democrats want the president out “by any means.”
Nunes spearheaded the public release of the memo, which states the FBI used the Steele dossier, an unverified compilation of political opposition research funded by the Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee, to obtain surveillance warrants on former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
According to the memo, the FBI was aware of the dossier’s ties to the DNC and Clinton campaign, but did not disclose that information to the FISA court.
Democrats have excoriated House Republicans for the memo’s release. Nunes responded to a clip of MSNBC analyst John Heilemann suggesting the House Intelligence chairman has been “compromised” by Russia.
