Remarkable footage shows a major rescue operation after a "screaming" man allegedly ran straight at a moving train in front of horrified passengers.
The man was seen sprinting as a Virgin Pendolino approached before he reportedly became trapped head first between a carriage and platform one at Stoke Station yesterday afternoon, shortly after 1pm.
A witness said it was "shocking" but said staff were incredibly professional and managed to help him out.
Virgin Train staff and police pulled the man to safety and he was seemingly uninjured. He was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital for further assessment.
A Staffordshire University business student, who was about catch the train to London Euston, witnessed the drama unfold.
