Governor Cuomo joined students who staged a die-in at Zuccotti Park on Wednesday morning as part of the nationwide gun control walkouts that popped off at schools in all five boroughs and around the nation.
Cuomo was with students from the High School of Public Service and Leadership in Manhattan’s financial district in the protest, marching with hundreds of students who walked out of class at 9:50 a.m. sharp.
Joined by city teachers union president Michael Mulgrew, Cuomo walked alongside the kids and joined their chants, clapping and yelling “enough is enough!” and “what do we want? gun control! when do we want it? now!”
Then, the students gathered in a great throng at Zuccotti Park and staged a die-in, chanting “not one more” and “never again.”
Cuomo laid down on the stone in the park like a corpse, too, flanked by dozens of students on either side of his body. Mulgrew too laid down in protest.
