Sen. Warren, who is considered an early Democrat favorite for the 2020 presidential race, insisted today's she's not actually running -- but she also made clear she has plans besides staying in the Senate another six years. After announcing she would not seek the presidency in 2020, NBC's Chuck Todd asked if she would then commit to serving our her full six-year, assuming she's re-elected in 2018. But despite five attempts to get the question answered, Warren refused, giving indication she has other plans in mind. Does she have another higher office in mind? Has she already agreed to a vice presidential role on a future ticket? If this exchange makes one thing clear, it's that she clearly has something planned.
