A mum and her boyfriend charged with the death of her daughter tell an operator the four-year-old is not breathing in this chilling emergency call.
Tragic Aniya Day died of a stroke caused by blunt impacts to the head on Sunday, March 11.
Her mum Sierra Day, and the mum's boyfriend Deonte Lewis, have both been charged with aggravated murder, Fox 8 reports.
An audio clip of the 911 call that has now been released, in which they explain that the girl is not responding, had previously been ill and that there is 'no air coming from her nose'.
Aniya was pronounced dead in hospital following the call, and the hospital reported the death as a suspected homicide.
According to reports, it was suspected that the girl had been abused for up to three years before her death.
An autopsy showed signs of physical trauma and starvation, and a police report alleged there were also signs of emotional trauma, WKYC reports.
