A firefighter has died battling a massive five-alarm blaze at a film set for a new crime drama starring Bruce Willis and Edward Norton.
Father-of-four Michael Davidson, 37, was briefly reported missing following a mayday call at the burning building in New York.
The 15-year veteran, who had been cited for bravery four times during his career, was pulled from the inferno during a frantic search and was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Five other people were injured, including two firefighters who suffered serious burns, as a crew of almost 200 tried to bring the blaze under control.
The blaze broke out in the basement of a closed jazz club in Harlem, where scenes were being shot for the film 'Motherless Brooklyn'.
