A SWAT team shot and killed a drug dealer who went down in a hail of bullets after pointing a gun at police.
The dramatic shootout saw cops quickly get the upper hand when their suspect's gun jammed.
He was shot in a hail of bullets after the armed officers surrounding his car took aim.
Bodycam video from officer Yu Hu-chien shows him screaming "Don't move!" before firing his pistol in the direction of the white saloon.
Chen Chi-an, 43, and his two accomplices had been found illegally parked by the roadside by officer Yu and his partner Shi Chien-an who approached to inspect the vehicle.
The authorities later learned that the group were on their way to a drug exchange and were busy entering the destination on their satnav.
Officer Yu said he gave several warnings and even fired warning shots in a bid to made the suspects leave their car in Taiwan.
But main suspect Chen Chi-an reportedly pointed his modified Taurus pistol at the cop - and so his car was sprayed with bullets.
"I didn't know how much firepower they had on the car," Yu said.
"The suspect threatened my life, so I fired at him."
A total of 22 bullets, mostly warning shots, were discharged at the vehicle, with the main suspect hit once and later dying of his injuries.
The footage shows one of the suspects being ordered to drag the injured Chen Chi-an out of the back seat and onto the road.
KCPD SWAT leader Hsu Chin-fa said: "The suspect Chen who was wanted for theft and drug trafficking amongst other crimes, took a bullet to the left hip which lodged itself in the right side of his chest.
"He was declared dead in hospital after suffering from internal bleeding."
Chen's accomplices Chen Yi-cheng and Hung Yi-yuan, both 41, were arrested at the scene, with a large number of firearms, drugs and cash found in their vehicle.
A pet rainbow lorikeet belonging to Hung was also taken away from the scene of the shootout.
The suspect said he "brings it along for every job".
The police revealed that the main suspect was unable to fire a single shot from his Taurus handgun because a bullet had jammed in the chamber.
Further investigation is ongoing, with the SWAT officers likely to be praised for their professionalism.
