A reported sighting of human bones led archaeologists to uncover a 'unique' 7,000-year-old Native American ancestral burial site.
Archaeologists made the incredible underwater discovery after a recreational diver reported that they found human remains there.
The ancient burial site is in the Gulf of Mexico near Venice, Florida, the Florida Department of State said.
It appears to have been preserved from the corroding effects of sand and salt by being laid in what was once a freshwater peat pond before the sea engulfed it.
