A woman attending a protest over the police shooting death of Stephon Clark was hit by a deputy in a squad car on Saturday night in Sacramento.
Prior to the incident, the officer, who was inside a Sacramento County Sheriff's Department SUV, could be heard ordering protesters on Florin Road to 'back away from my vehicle' around 9pm local time while emergency lights flashed.
As demonstrators screamed, the marked car appeared to accelerate and hit a woman, knocking her to the ground as seen in video of the crash taken by Guy Danilowitz of the National Lawyers Guild.
The woman was identified as 61-year-old Wanda Cleveland. She lay immobile on the ground until she was loaded into an ambulance.
Currently the extent of her injuries are not known.
