Hundreds of bikini-clad Russians braved the snowy slopes as part of an attempt to break a world record.
Several hundred skiers and snowboarders wore swimming costumes as they hit the slopes of Sochi on Saturday hoping for a record breaking run.
Local reports said the organisers were awaiting confirmation of their feat from Guinness World Records but believed around 1,800 people participated in the event, wearing bikinis, swim shorts, and swimming costumes.
The current Guinness World Record title is held by the skiing carnival which took place in Sochi two years ago with 1,008 participants.
