Two children tried to steal a pizza delivery car in Florida but failed after finding out the car was equipped with a manual transmission. Rojelio Sebastian, 14, and Miguel Garcia, 12, were arrested after attempting to steal a Domino’s delivery car earlier in March, Fox News reported Saturday. Issac Javier Ortez, the Domino’s delivery driver, was bringing a pizza to Garcia’s neighbors house and left his car with the keys in the ignition in the driveway while he walked to the door to deliver the pizza. The neighbor told Ortez that he never ordered a pizza. As the two spoke, Ortez heard his car engine revving and saw the two kids with their faces covered trying to get away in his car, mentioning they were struggling with the stick shift.
“They came out and say we no order any pizza, but when they tell me that I hear my car in the driveway make a big noise,” Ortez told NBC 2. “When they go back to get the first gear, they cannot drive,” the pizza delivery driver said. “They look like little kids,” Ortez said. “I say they look like babies.” Sheriffs deputies from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office found the two boys hours later walking on railroad tracks nearby. Deputies also found a pipe on Garcia and charged him with “possession of drug equipment.” The two boys were both arrested for “grand theft auto and possession of burglary tools.” Garcia has previously been charged with driving without a license after taking his mother’s car without permission in November.
