A hooded youth has been filmed appearing to throw a heavy shopping trolley from a bridge onto a busy road below.
The shocking footage took place above the A379 in Exeter.
Police are now investigating, Devon Live reports, after the dangerous act was reported to them.
The video shows the hooded youth lifting up the supermarket trolley.
He then walks towards the edge of the overbridge between Tesco Vale and Ikea and launches the metal cart off the edge.
Before he even glances to see if any damage was caused he starts running away from the scene.
