An attempt to launch Russia's first ever postal drone ended in embarrassment - when it crashed into a wall and shattered.
The tiny aircraft was supposed to deliver a small package in the Siberian city of Ulan-Ude yesterday.
But things went badly wrong when the unmanned drone was smashed to pieces at an event supposed to showcase a new way of delivering mail.
The test was carried out in the sparsely populated Buryatia region, which is more than 4,400 km east of Moscow.
Video footage shows the drone lifting off from a miniature launch pad bearing Russian Post's blue and white logo, buzzing through the air for several seconds before crashing into a three-storey residential building.
