A driver who deliberately ran over a man he thought was holding up traffic was convicted of a terror offence.
The shocking incident was captured on camera by a motorcyclist, who can be seen rushing over to help as the victim lay injured in the road.
Shahid Ali fled the scene after driving over Patrick Colbert’s head and body in his Mercedes on July 11, last year.
The 43-year-old dumped his car after the shocking incident on Brighton Road in Balsall Heath, reports the Birmingham Mail .
Ali was acquitted of attempting to murder Mr Colbert but was convicted of causing him grievous bodily harm with intent.
He had previously admitted causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
