Russian secret services swooped on two cities hosting the World Cup and arrested suspected terrorists in armed raids.
Seven suspects accused of being in touch with a terrorist recruiter were targeted in St Petersburg - close to where the England team will be based for the competition.
And in the Rostov-on-Don region the leader of an alleged ISIS cell detonated an explosive device and died while being detained.
Three others were arrested.
