Ten children rescued from filthy home in California were shot with crossbows, punched and waterboarded by their dad, a court has heard.
Horrific details of the alleged abuse have come to light after parents Jonathan Allen and Ina Rogers were arrested by police called to reports of a missing child at their home in Fairfield, near San Francisco.
There officers found nine children, aged between four months and 11 years, before later discovering their 12-year-old brother asleep under a neighbour's bush.
Inside police found rotting food, rubbish and faeces.
A six-week child abuse investigation was then launched, details of which were uncovered at a bail hearing at Solano Superior Court on Wednesday, reports Inside Edition .
Deputy District Attorney Veronica Juarez revealed details of allegations made by the children in a motion she handed to the court.
