Indianapolis, IN - Police said they will use security camera footage to help them determine who shot and killed a clerk at a northeast-side Dollar General store Sunday afternoon.
The shooting happened at 3:45 p.m. in the discount store at 5450 Emerson Way, said Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Sgt. Shane Foley. Police responded to a holdup alarm and found the male employee dead of a gunshot wound inside the store. The Marion County coroner's officer identified the victim as Brian Eure, 41.
Police were still interviewing people to determine if the shooting was a robbery or if there was a different motive, Foley said. No one else was injured and Foley did not know how many customers might have been in the store at the time of the shooting.
