Denver police on Friday arrested an Uber driver who they say shot dead his passenger during an alleged fight overnight.
Michael Hancock, 29, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder in the shooting on Interstate-25 that left one man dead.
Hancock has not been formally charged. It will be up to prosecutors to decide whether or not to pursue a murder charge or any other criminal charges against him.
The incident took place at around 2.45am while the ride-sharing vehicle was traveling in the southbound lanes of Interstate 25 near University Boulevard.
According to investigators, the Uber driver called 911 to report the shooting.
