An Al-Qaeda bomb-maker caught with knives near Downing Street told police: 'You'll see,' when asked if he was carrying any weapons.
Khalid Ali, 28, was planning to stab police officers and politicians when he was arrested in Whitehall on 27 April last year, it is claimed.
Dramatic footage of a group of armed police officers swarming Ali and thwarting his alleged attack was played to an Old Bailey jury on Wednesday.
The jury heard Ali had not long returned to the UK after spending five years building bombs in Afghanistan.
His arrest came a day after his concerned mother called 999 when she found four knives lying on the floor by his bed.
